National Trust - The Places That Make Us

One of a series of short documentaries created for The National Trust exploring our intimate relationships with nature, shot across locations around the UK. This film looks at the 60 year love affair Sylvia has had with Great Gable, a mountain situated in the Lake District. And what happens when Sylvia is forced to admire the mountain from afar after becoming bedridden following a cancer diagnosis

Picking up Sylvia’s story six weeks after her final chemotherapy treatment, the film explores her passion for rock climbing and Great Gable, before following her up the mountain for the first time in several years and capturing their long awaited reunion.
